Anucool is an Adaptive Wear brand that makes easy to wear clothes for individuals who have a physical constraint or a locomotor disability.
It is born from a shared passion of wanting to make an impactful difference. The founders Saritha and Nalini are friends who have spent countless evening walks on ideas that can bring a meaningful change to the society.
A domestic experience where a loved one struggled in pain with a mundane daily routine of dressing up, lit the proverbial light bulbs in their minds. Conventional clothing may not be conducive when a person is recovering from a frozen shoulder or a surgery or a fracture or stroke or similar physical limitations.
Friends and family spoke of similar experiences of their loved ones, everyone knew someone who struggled with their clothing!
This was the inspiration to create easy to wear garments to restore independence and dignity in dressing for all.

How we do what we do?
Disabilities and physical challenges come in many variations. So, we speak to people to know more. Who are these ‘people’??
The patients - They say the wearer knows where the shoe hurts. But we don't want the shoe or the clothing to hurt. So we talk to them to understand their pain and struggles
The family and caregiver group - They witness the patients’ frustrations everyday.. So we talk to them to understand how the caregiver’s work can be made easy during dressing.
The doctor and physiotherapist - They understand the clinical issues of the patient’s physical conditions. So we talk to them understand how to reduce risk of reinjury during dressing
The textile designer - They bring in the creative genius to find the correct designs for patients’s needs. So we talk to them to understand the right openings and closures, fabrics and trims, sizes and patterns that will address as many conditions as possible
